The mouse cursor is not positioned correctly when rotating the screen in Windows 11

On Windows 11 Canary 28020.1362, the text cursor is misplaced on my rotated portrait monitor. The position doesn’t match my real mouse pointer. Drivers and system are up to date. Anyone has a fix?

In Settings > Bluetooth & other devices > Mouse, turn off the Enhance pointer precision option and update your graphics card driver.

This is actually a known bug in Windows 11 Canary 28020, not your setup—people are seeing the same cursor offset on rotated displays.

    Short fixes I’d try:

    1. Quick workaround: change resolution/rotation once or restart (sometimes realigns cursor)
    2. Disable hardware scheduling (can fix cursor offset bugs)
    3. If nothing works → honestly best fix is roll back Canary or wait for next patch, since it’s a build issue

If you want, I can give you a clean “stable workaround setup” that avoids this completely.

The issue with the misplaced text cursor on a rotated portrait monitor in Windows 11 Canary build 28020.1362 can be related to display scaling, orientation, or a bug in the preview build.

  •  Roll back the Canary build to a stable version, or wait for Microsoft's next patch—this is a known rotation cursor bug in 28020.1362.

This solution works for me, thanks!
