Hi, start with `powercfg /batteryreport` and compare Design Capacity with Full Charge Capacity. That quickly tells you whether this is software usage or a worn battery. Then open Task Manager, sort by CPU and Power usage, and check Settings > System > Power & battery > Battery usage for the last 24 hours. `powercfg /energy` can also flag drivers and devices that prevent power saving. Update the BIOS, chipset, and graphics drivers from the laptop maker. If full-charge capacity is far below design capacity or the laptop drains quickly even in the BIOS diagnostics, recalibration will not fix the underlying battery wear.
