the Computer Says "Unknown Emotional Device Detected"
“Unknown Emotional Device Detected” isn’t a standard Windows USB error. It could be a notification from another app or an unusual device name, so first check which app is displaying it. The wording alone doesn’t establish malware or a driver fault.
Right-click Start and open Device Manager. Look under Disk drives and Universal Serial Bus controllers, then open the affected device’s Properties and check Device status. An error such as “Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)” would tell us much more.
To protect your files, don’t format or initialise the drive, even if Windows offers to. If it opens on another trusted computer, copy the important files off before trying repairs. If it appears as RAW or unallocated in Disk Management, avoid writing to it or running repair commands until you’ve considered recovery.
