Taskbar multiple instance list registry tweak no longer works
After I received the 2025-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5053598) on 2025-03-11, multiple windows for the same app appear as useless thumbnails in a horizontal row above the taskbar. This despite having HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Taskband
Value data set to 0. This has caused the list to appear as a simple vertical text list since shortly after I started using Win11 years ago. Any way to get this behavior back?

If this problem started after the recent update and you believe reverting might help, you can uninstall the cumulative update through Settings > Windows Update > Update history > Uninstall updates.

Isabellais - there are reasons for this update - so going back isn't helpful. And users like me can't go back because my computer is controlled by my company.
I hope that someone find the trick to get the listing back. This thumbnail-gimmick is annoying.....
