Taskbar icons keep getting smaller
My taskbar icons keep getting smaller. They are getting so small they are difficult to make out. This has happened in stages. I have not changed my scale settings, which are the recommended ones. Eve...
I actually found the answer and I have discovered the solution to your problem, because I had that same issue myself. if you go to the taskbar settings, and you open “taskbar behaviours” in "personalization." there is a section called "show smaller task buttons, and if it was set to "when taskbar is full" change it to "never" and you should be good to go.
If taskbar icons shrink on their own, it’s usually a registry or system glitch.
- Restart Windows Explorer from Task Manager.
- In Registry Editor, go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
→ set TaskbarSi = 1 for default size. - Restart PC and install the latest Windows updates.
I didn't find TaskbarSi in my Registry.
