Switches Your Default Audio Output to a Disconnected Bluetooth Headset
Windows 11 where the system randomly switches my default audio output to a Bluetooth headset that was paired three years ago, even when I am not using or connected to it. This causes my audio to unexpectedly cut out or switch to the disconnected device, disrupting my work and entertainment.

Hi Galentine, I’d remove that old headset completely from Bluetooth devices and Device Manager, including hidden devices if it still appears there. Then set your preferred output as default in Sound settings. If Windows keeps choosing the old endpoint, clearing stale Bluetooth/audio device entries is usually more effective than just changing the default output again.
