Start Menu and Current User

Have 3 accounts on Windows 11:

1) Mike Contreras (Admin)

2) Mike (User)

3) Mary (User)

Signed in as Mike (User) but the Start Menu displays Mike Contreras (the Admin account)

When I show other users (still signed in as Mike - User), the other accounts are correctly show Mary (User)  and Mike Contreras (Admin)

Signing in as Mary works fine

Any suggestions as how to get my User account to display properly in the Start screen?

Thanks!

Mike Contreras

I understand you want to discuss the Start Menu in the context of these three user accounts. However, your message cuts off before stating the specific problem or question you have about them.

      Sorry for the confusion.

The first figure displays the three active Windows accounts for the PC:

      1) Mike Contreras (Admin)

      2) Mike (User)

      3) Mary (User)

The second image was taken after Mike (a User) logged on. (That account is only account logged on during the Windows session) At the bottom of the image, it displays Mike Contreras (the Admin account) despite the fact that Mike Contreras (the Admin) is NOT logged in.

The third image - after clicking on the icon bottom left for Mike Contreras,  the other users - Mary (a user) and Mike Contreras (the Admin) are correctly displayed as NOT logged in. The issue is the confusion of showing Mike Contreras as both signed in and not signed in. Only Mike (User) is currently logged on.

The last image reinforces this. In the same session, when Mary logs on, it correctly shows in other users, Mike (User) is signed in and Mike Contreras (Admin) is not signed in.

The source of the confusion seems to be that Microsoft is showing the Windows account rather than the actual user in the Start menu display.

      Thanks, Mike
