SMBClient Error: Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API.

Hi everyone,

I am stuck on an issue with one machine that is accessing SMB file shares over a VPN. It works sometimes, other times it does not. The error dialog in the GUI says:

[Drive Letter] is not accessible.

Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.

In the event log for SMBClient, I see a lot of these two errors:

Message : Smb2DiagReasonISC.

Error: Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API.

Message: The server does not support multichannel.

I have checked the client and the server, and they both have multichannel enabled. I checked the server logs but there's nothing that seems related to this so I think it's just a client-side thing with this one machine.

Anyone have experience with this or ideas on where to go from here?

Just wanted to say that the user restarted their home router and the issues went away. I would have liked to really understand what was going on here, but at least the issue is gone (for now?)

Thanks for the reply. We seem to be using DFS. If i run dfsrmig /getglobalstate I get 'Eliminated'.
