SMBClient Error: Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API.
Hi everyone,
I am stuck on an issue with one machine that is accessing SMB file shares over a VPN. It works sometimes, other times it does not. The error dialog in the GUI says:
[Drive Letter] is not accessible.
Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.
In the event log for SMBClient, I see a lot of these two errors:
Message : Smb2DiagReasonISC.
Error: Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API.
Message: The server does not support multichannel.
I have checked the client and the server, and they both have multichannel enabled. I checked the server logs but there's nothing that seems related to this so I think it's just a client-side thing with this one machine.
Anyone have experience with this or ideas on where to go from here?
- Just wanted to say that the user restarted their home router and the issues went away. I would have liked to really understand what was going on here, but at least the issue is gone (for now?)
- alitaqviIron ContributorBy any chance are you using DFS for file share ?
- hungry_giraffeCopper ContributorThanks for the reply. We seem to be using DFS. If i run dfsrmig /getglobalstate I get 'Eliminated'.
