Sleep function has never really worked on Windows 11 LG Laptop

Did you ever figure this out ?
I bought a 2024 LG Gram 15.6 from Costco two weeks ago. It just won't go to sleep, whether unplugged or plugged in, with the lid open or closed.
The battery went nearly flat during a >24 hour journey last week while in the backpack in the overhead bin.
It was stealing the Bluetooth headphones from my smartphone, too.
The darn thing just wouldn't sleep.
Is there any kind of fix ? I'm ready to return it to Costco if not.
I was able to fix mine by reinstalling Windows. You can do it without deleting your files or programs.
