Single click on Desktop, double click in Explorer

Hello!
I would like to be able to open an item in one click on the desktop,
yet still use double click in Explorer.
The option in Explorer changes behaviour in both, which I don't want.
Any solutions?
(Standard Windows 10 on PC)
