- Dec 19, 2022
To always show all the Icons in the System Tray or Notification area of Windows 11/10, follow these steps:
1. Press Win+R to open the Run prompt.
2. Enter this value: explorer shell:::{05d7b0f4-2121-4eff-bf6b-ed3f69b894d9}
3. Tick the Always show all icons and notifications on the taskbar checkbox.
4. Click the OK button.Hope this helps everyone!
Switching the O/S to solve a problem like this is laughably ridiculous.
...Hold my BIOS. :)
Seriously, as someone that sets up ~15-25 computers a week for customers, having to manually toggle icons on in the menu... I've been searching high and low for a solution for three years now, and still have not found any solution to this.
(I should add that the majority of my clientelle are... elderly, and when they need to look for an icon in the bottom-right of their screen which may not be immediately visible, it amplifies the frustration on both my side as a support tech, and on the user's side as a victim of thoughtless UX/UI changes. After constantly pushing for the return of the "Always display all tray icons" option for years now, it becomes starkly apparent that this is deemed a non-issue, and I don't expect it to be remedied any time soon.)
I'll agree that it's ridiculous that an OS change would be a bit of a ridiculous solution, but... I'm not laughing.
Here's hoping for better user feedback attention.... 😫
