RIP 1070ti 11/2018 - 5/2026
Went from working fine one night to the next day one of the 2 monitors plugged in to the 1070ti wasn't working. Noticed display driver was using Microsoft basic render driver. No windows or other driver updates to roll back. Went through troubleshooting shooting, tried different slots, changed security settings. Completely reinstalling drivers. Repasted the card as a last resort to no avail. Tried my gaming rig too on game ready drivers vs studio drivers on streaming rig.
Don't have many tech buddies to throw ideas at regarding my somewhat unique set up & use case.

You mentioned trying different slots, but also swap the video cable. Test the problematic monitor with another device or PC if possible, to rule out the monitor itself.
Right-click on the desktop > Display settings.
Ensure both monitors are detected.
Click Detect if one isn't showing up.
Verify that the correct display output is selected.
