Restore TrueTypeFont (.ttf) File Association in Windows 11 24H2

Hey everyone, I've run into an unusual issue here with my main Windows 11 24H2 PC. After a reboot, I immediately noticed that I no-longer had the "Install" context menu option for TrueType Font files with the .ttf extension and those files no-longer had an association with the Windows Font Viewer and no-longer had the corresponding file type icon either. I've found and tried every suggestion I can find and nothing works. Here's what I see and what I've tried and would appreciate any guidance if any of you have been successul resolving the same issue:

Selecting open with and manually trying to assign C:\Windows\System32\fontview.exe fails, resulting in the following message:

Error: The program you have selected cannot be assocaited with this file type.

Couldn't find anything in the event logs. No recent software installs - no known cause.

Settings > Default Apps > Windows Font Viewer is not a listed app. Going to ttf file type produces the same result as using File Explorer Open With option- Doesn't work.

Settings > Font Settings > Reset > Does not fix this issue.

1.  SFC /ScanNow found corruption.

2.  DISM completed successfully after running:

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:wim:F:\sources\install.wim:6 /LimitAcces

I thouhgt that maybe I could generate the file associations file with DISM and use group policy to apply, but DISM only seems to include user created assocaitions in that list.

Anyway, I've checked everywhere I can think of and no success.
