Rare Case of Persistent CMOS Corruption Causing BIOS Reset Loops
I am experiencing a rare issue where my Windows PC repeatedly resets the BIOS due to persistent CMOS corruption. Despite resetting the BIOS and replacing the CMOS battery, the problem continues, causing the system to enter BIOS reset loops frequently. This makes it difficult to boot into Windows normally, and standard troubleshooting steps have failed to resolve the underlying CMOS corruption that seems to be causing these persistent BIOS reset cycles.

The CMOS memory needs a tiny amount of standby power to keep settings. If a capacitor on the motherboard is failing, it can't hold that charge even with a new battery.
