Upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 can be done as in-place upgrade, which means your programs, files, and settings are preserved.
Enabling BIOS settings ( TPM/Secure Boot) will not erase your files. If you upgrade via windows update keeps your files. Also changing booth modes ( legacy -> UEFI) without proper conversion can cause boot issues, but not actual file deletion.
