Problems with Power Management Settings Not Saving
Any changes I make revert back to the default after restarting the computer. This prevents me from customizing my power options to optimize battery life or performance, and I am looking for guidance on how to fix this problem so that my settings stay applied and function as intended.

The screenshot shows the MediaTek Bluetooth Adapter’s device-level Power Management option, not the Windows power plan. Microsoft documents that the device driver owns this policy and that the checkbox’s meaning is device-dependent. On Modern Standby systems, changing it is not recommended because it can increase battery drain. First, run powercfg /a in Command Prompt. If Standby (S0 Low Power Idle) appears, leave the checkbox at its driver default and control battery/performance through Settings > System > Power & battery. Next, install Windows updates and the latest HP/MediaTek Bluetooth driver, restart, and retest. If it still resets, uninstall the Bluetooth adapter in Device Manager and restart so Windows reinstalls it. If Bluetooth worked correctly before a driver update, use Driver > Roll Back Driver. A persistent reset after reinstall likely comes from the driver or OEM software; avoid registry workarounds and report it to HP with adapter and driver versions.
