Problem with Windows 11 installation from USB recovery
1. Check the integrity of the USB recovery media: Make sure that the USB drive is not damaged and that there are no errors in the recovery media creation process.
Redownload the Windows 11 ISO file and recreate the USB recovery media using official tools (Media Creation Tool or Rufus).
2. Check BIOS/UEFI settings: Go into your computer's BIOS/UEFI settings (usually press F2, F10, Del, etc. at boot time) to make sure that the boot mode is set to UEFI (not Legacy BIOS).
Disable Secure Boot, although it is usually required for Windows 11, disabling it may help the installation in some cases.
3. Check USB ports and drives: Try using a different USB port, especially a USB 2.0 port.
If possible, use another USB drive for testing.
4. Check hardware compatibility: Make sure your computer hardware meets the minimum system requirements for Windows 11, especially TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot support.
Visit the motherboard manufacturer's website to check for updated BIOS/UEFI firmware.
5. Run Windows Installation Troubleshooting: If an error code occurs during the installation process, make a note of the code and search for the relevant solution on the Microsoft support website.
Use the “Repair Computer” option in the Windows installation media to try to fix startup problems.
6. Check disk partitions: During the installation process, select “Custom Installation”.
Delete all existing partitions and let the installer create new ones.
Make sure that the destination disk is in GPT format
7. Update the driver: If you are prompted with a missing driver during the installation process, try downloading and installing the latest storage controller driver from the computer manufacturer's official website.
8. Try other installation methods: If the USB installation continues to fail, try installing over the network or using DVD media
