Problem installing update (KB5050009)

From windows update install the cumulative update (KB5050009), as soon as it finishes the pc restarts, and it gives me the error "something did not work as expected. No need to worry: canceling changes in progress. Is there any solution, I read various solutions around but I have not solved it. Thanks in advance.

If the issue persists after trying all of these steps, it might be worth checking Microsoft's support forums or contacting Microsoft support for further assistance. Keep your Windows 11 system regularly backed up to avoid data loss during troubleshooting and repairs.

No offense intended but Microsoft tech support is useless in this case. Tried to do an update in June, it failed and the update screen is stuck on that update. No updates since that one,  even though one of the techies said the next update would cure the problem, but it's apparently blocked until that update completes.

Eight hours on the tech support chat, with three different tech support people has gotten no results, windows update is still stuck in the same place. The last rep said the only resolution to the problem will wipe out all of my programs and files.  I'm thinking it may be time to find another operating system and get rid of windows and Microsoft, no company is any better than it's tech support and in this case that's really lacking

Sounds like the most safe solution to me.

A Clean Boot starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, which can help determine if a third-party software is causing the issue.
