Yes, Rufus can bypass the Windows 11 CPU and TPM checks, and it works on systems like the Intel i7-6700K. The block you’re seeing is expected when running setup.exe directly.
How to bypass the CPU check with Rufus
Download the Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft
Download the latest Rufus
Insert a USB drive (8GB+)
Open Rufus and select:
- Boot selection: Windows 11 ISO
- Image option: Standard Windows installation
Click Start
When prompted, check:
- Remove requirement for TPM 2.0
- Remove requirement for Secure Boot
- Remove requirement for 4GB+ RAM (optional)
Rufus will create a modified installer that skips the CPU check.
Important notes
- You must boot from the USB created by Rufus.
- Running setup.exe from the ISO will still block unsupported CPUs.
- Windows 11 will install and run, but Microsoft may limit future feature updates.
- Stability is usually fine on Skylake CPUs, but it’s unsupported.
Summary:
Rufus is the simplest and safest way to bypass Windows 11 CPU checks. Just make sure you boot from the Rufus USB and not from the ISO inside Windows.
