PC randomly freezing up - forcing hard restart

I have bought a new custom pc (specs below). I'm running into an issue where the PC seemingly randomly slows down by 99% (e.g. mouse starts moving very slowly across the screen, unable to do any actions) or freezes completely. The lights on the PC return to default and I'm unable to do anything. The only resolution to this is a hard reset. This happens at least once per day. I have been playing games such as League (not intensive) where this is still happening. While looking at things like the resource tracker or performance indicators I see the CPU spiking to 100%. If anyone knows what could be causing the issue it would be greatly appreciated as its very frustrating.

A faulty or insufficient power supply can cause system instability. Ensure your PSU is rated adequately for your components and is functioning correctly.

Hardware issues like a faulty RAM stick, GPU, or power supply can cause these symptoms. If possible, test components individually or swap in known-good parts.
