PC Crash + Windows Update Question

Hey everyone — super quick post.

My computer totally crashed in late April, and when I took it to a tech center the repair guy said a Windows update was probably the culprit. Now I’m kinda paranoid about updates and want to be way more careful.

Does anyone know if there’s a way to look up Microsoft updates before they install so I can avoid the ones that are known to cause crashes?
