NVIDIA graphics card no longer recognised by Windows during an update.

I have a NVIDIA GEFORCE 1050 ti card. It was working fine. I did a Windows 11 Update (September) and while it was updating - just after 30% - my screen flashes a couple of times (like the driver was updating) and went black. I waited a few hours with a black screen and the dediced to plug into the intel card my PC also had and discovered that my update was complete and it was waiting for me to login. But Windows no longer recognised my NVIDIA card. The driver was still there but shaded out. Steps to get it back suggested deleting the driver and doing a full reboot (power off, hold the button for a X amount of seconds) etc.  I have an older Dell Studio (about 6-7 years) and have had no issues with updates or the driver card not being recognised before. I did resinstall a new power unit about 12 months ago. Obviously, trying to get it to work seems a huge hassle as its not as simple as installing the correct driver. How do I get Windows to recognise the card again?  (I have completed a Device Driver scan for hardware changes multiple times with no change.) Do I roll back? Thanks.
