Newsy Boxy thing appeared
Can anyone tell me what this is called that has apopeared on the taskbar and how to get rid of it.
At the same time my quicklaunch button/menu disappeared. How do I get it back? Thanks

This could be the News and Interests widget or Widgets panel that Microsoft introduced on Windows 10/11.
Disable the News and Interests feature in Taskbar settings, and enable “Merge taskbar buttons” in Taskbar behavior to restore the Quick Launch area.
Right click on the taskbar → Taskbar settings→ turn off Widgetsto hide.
