New PCs often come with unnecessary software

My new computer came with a lot of preinstalled software that I never asked for, including trial versions of antivirus programs, games, and manufacturer utilities that run in the background. I would like to know how to safely identify and remove all this unnecessary bloatware without accidentally deleting important system files or drivers that my PC needs to function properly.
