New cursors that match modern design principles?

Does anyone know if Microsoft is working on a new cursor design? The current one just looks so old at this point—and honestly, the arrow isn't even symmetrical, which is kind of wild for something we look at every single day.

It feels like the cursor hasn't gotten any real visual update in forever, even though everything else around it has moved on.

Would be nice to see something that actually fits with the rest of the modern UI. Anyone heard anything about this?
