network share login error
i have spent many hours with windows online chat support, to only be directed here. i have a new windows 11 lenovo desktop.
i am trying to share external hard drives that are connected to my main computer. main computer is connected to the router via Ethernet. from the router i have Ethernet running to an oppo203 (blu ray & network player) and 2 different WD livetv (media player).
the drives folders are all shared properly, with full permissions, file sharing on, password off, firewalls off.
The oppo sees the shared folders but i keep getting a login error saying login error-please verify login and password.
i have tried logging in with my windows id and password, tried computer name and windows id password, have tried about every combination that i can think of and no luck.

drumspace, Kindly make sure these services are running and have Startup type set to Manual or Automatic:
- Function Discovery Provider Host (fdPHost)
- Function Discovery Resource Publication (FDResPub)
- Network Connections (NetMan)
- UPnP Device Host (UPnPHost)
- Peer Name Resolution Protocol (PNRPsvc)
- Peer Networking Grouping (p2psvc)
- Peer Networking Identity Manager (p2pimsvc)
- If all of those are running, what do you do? I have the same problem.
