Network connection post router firmware upgrade

I'm about to upgrade my asus AX-5400 to the latest version (Aug.2025.) I need to perform a hard reset on the unit (lost the login pwrd. & username.)
My question: will my current functional network connection continue to function after the update? (I'm curious if the upgrade requires any manual adjustments in Windows networking or if any adjustments are performed automatically by Windows (11). My thanks in advance
