My update is stuck at 99%. Should I wait another 10 years?
My Windows update has been stuck at 99% for a long time, and I am unsure whether I should continue waiting or try to take action. The progress bar doesn't move beyond 99%, and I am concerned that the update might be frozen, which could cause issues if I interrupt it. I want to know if it's safe to wait longer or if I should force restart or troubleshoot the update process to avoid potential problems.

Force a shutdown and restart, then after entering Safe Mode,
run
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
and then run
sfc /scannow.

If the system isn’t showing any error messages and your disk activity (hard drive or SSD activity LED) is blinking, it’s often safest to wait another 30 minutes to an hour.
