My iPhone screen not responding to touch after restart, any suggestion?
- Sep 26, 2024
I get how annoying that is!
Try Fixppo: https://www.applettop.com/iphone-screen-not-responding-to-touch
It can fix frozen iPhones without data loss, way easier than dealing with iTunes.
iPhone screen not responding to touch? Try a forced restart by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake button and the Volume Down button simultaneously for at least 10 seconds. This will force your iPhone to shut down and may resolve the issue. You can also go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch and switch off "Touchscreen" or "Accessibility Shortcut" (if available). This might help reset the touchscreen functionality.

This method DOES NOT WORK in 2025 (it gives you the "Slide to power off" screen, which doesn't help if you can't move the slider). Instead:
1. Press and release the Volume Up button2. Press and release the Volume Down button
3. Press and hold the Power On/Off button for a long time.

I also tried this forced restart operation, but I pressed it many times before I saw the Apple logo reappear, and the problem was still not solved, and the screen was still unresponsive. As for turning off the "touch screen" or "accessibility shortcut keys", I haven't tried it yet. Have you ever used this method successfully? I feel that if it is a system bug, this little trick may have limited effect, right?
