My Computer doesn't charge consistently
Hey — intermittent charging is worth treating as a power-hardware issue first, especially if the percentage jumps around.
Use the original charger directly in a wall outlet and inspect the cable and charging port for looseness or heat. If the device supports USB-C charging, make sure the adapter and cable provide the wattage the laptop requires; a phone charger may connect but repeatedly stop and start. Update the BIOS/firmware, then run the manufacturer’s battery and AC-adapter diagnostics.
Windows can also give useful evidence: open Terminal and run `powercfg /batteryreport`, then review the design capacity versus full-charge capacity. A badly degraded or suddenly fluctuating battery usually needs service. If charging cuts in and out when the plug moves, stop using that port until it is checked—arcing or heat can cause further damage.
What laptop model and charger wattage are you using?
