More MS misery

I have an acronis .tib backup from my wife's that contains important info that I cannot extract as Com Surrogate seems to have locked it so I cannot extract the info. How the h do I make it accessable by Acronis or whatever opens it to read it?

    Run Acronis as Administrator: Right-click on Acronis True Image and select Run as administrator. This ensures it has the necessary permissions. Check File Permissions: Right-click the .tib file, choose Properties, go to Security, and ensure your user account has Full Control.

    What I can think of is to try ending the process, closing related programs and services, operating in Safe Mode, adjusting permissions, updating or repairing the software, checking system file integrity, and finally contacting official support.
