Microsoft Print to PDF Missing
If Microsoft Print to PDF is missing from the normal Add printer list, restore the Windows feature first rather than searching for a downloaded driver.
1. Open Turn Windows features on or off.
2. Clear Microsoft Print to PDF, select OK, and restart Windows.
3. Open the same dialog, enable Microsoft Print to PDF, and restart again.
4. If the feature is still absent, open Terminal as administrator and run: DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:Printing-PrintToPDFServices-Features /All
5. Restart, then print a short Notepad document and confirm that the Save As dialog appears.
If Windows reports that the feature is enabled but no printer exists, use Add printer > Add manually, choose a local printer, select the PORTPROMPT: port, and select the Microsoft Print To PDF driver supplied by Windows. Do not install a driver from a download site. If Notepad prompts correctly afterward, the original application is controlling or suppressing its own print dialog.
