Looking for a best alternative to disk drill for data recovery, any recommendations?

I tried Disk Drill app in the past but it couldn't find the deleted word documents and photos. Fortunately, I am able to recover the deleted by following the steps in this tutorial: https://www.cnetie.com/best-alternative-to-disk-drill
You can give a try!
Slow scans and getting stuck on larger recoveries is a fairly common complaint with a lot of recovery tools, especially with NTFS drives where deep scans can take a while depending on how fragmented the deleted data is.
A few general things that affect recovery success regardless of which tool you use:
Stop writing to that drive immediately if you haven't already, every new file written increases the chance of overwriting the deleted data before you recover it
NTFS recovery works best soon after deletion, the MFT (Master File Table) entries for deleted files eventually get reused, so time matters more than most people expect
10GB isn't a huge volume, so if a tool is getting stuck or only finding cache files, that's more likely a scanning engine issue than a "the data's really gone" issue
I've used EdbMails Data Recovery Software on a similar case, an accidentally deleted folder on an NTFS drive, and it did a full deep scan without choking or getting stuck, plus it let me preview files before restoring so I wasn't guessing whether the right stuff had actually been found. It also covers SSDs, USB drives, and SD cards if this comes up again on a different device.
