Dillspooch, this process worked for me:
To fix Link to Windows, remove old PCs directly from your Android app by opening Link to Windows > Settings (gear icon) > Linked PCs > Remove PC. Then, clear the Phone Link cache in phone settings and reset the app on the new PC.
Here is a breakdown of steps to resolve this:
- Force Remove Old PC (From Phone)
Open the Link to Windows app on your Android device.
Tap the Settings gear icon.
Select Linked PCs.
Tap on the old computer name and select Remove PC or Unlink. - Clean Up Old Settings (On PC & Phone)
On Phone: Go to Android Settings > Apps > Link to Windows > Storage > Clear Cache/Data.
On PC: Search "Phone Link" in the start menu, right-click, select App Settings, and click Reset.
On PC: Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mobile Devices and click Manage Devices to remove the old entry. - Set Up New PC
Restart both your phone and PC.
Open Phone Link on the new PC and follow the prompt to link the new device.
