Same issue, but receive this error: Install error - 0x800f081f

All the other updates worked, just KB5046617 won't install.

The standalone installer fails with error 0x800f0838

      I did an in-place upgrade to repair it.  Now it patches without error.

      Just tried the new update.

      2025-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5050009)

      Install error - 0x800f081f

      I might try on the non microsft account which might have actual admin of pc, then switch back to use apps.  Just an aweful experience.
