KB5035942 from March of '24 runs constantly

For the last several months, KB5035942 runs every morning and in doing so, apps that I have open, close, for instance Firefox. It even affects one Windows Game Pass game (Atomfall) where I start the game and get the error message that files failed to load. Once I uninstall and reinstall the game, I can play and exit the game as many times as I want, until the next day when KB5035942 runs again and then the game error repeats.

I've reinstalled Win 11 Pro v24H2 build 26100.3476 twice but KB5035942 continues to run every day. Come on, this is a KB from march of 2024. Why is it continually running. I've been on Elevenforums but even the experts there can't figure it out.

Please help. This is getting ridiculous.
