Is it possible to remove the "Sign In" button after Windows 11 goes to sleep?
Hello everyone on the forum! I have a situation with my computer where I don't have a password on my tower since it's located in my home office and I feel the security is unnecessary. However, whenever Windows 11 goes to sleep, I have to press the space bar to wake it up and then I see the login screen with beautiful scenery, my face in a circle, and a "Sign In" button. Clicking this button brings me back to my work, but on my old Windows 7 machine, this process was automatic without needing to manually click. It may seem like a small issue, but it's quite bothersome to have to reach for the mouse and click "Sign In" every time.
Is there a way to bypass this login screen and go directly back to my work in Windows 11? If it worked in Windows 7, there must be a similar option in Windows 11, right? (although experience has shown that's not always the case).
I've noticed that the system works as expected if the screen saver is active, but not once it goes into the sleep mode and the screen goes dark. I believe this is what is referred to as "sleeping."
Kindly refrain from providing instructions on disabling the password requirement since that's not the issue here, and I keep coming across those solutions when searching online. Additionally, in the "Accounts/Sign-in" settings, the option labeled "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello sign-in..." is already disabled and cannot be changed, as it's grayed out.
It's just frustrating to have to make that extra click every time. I wish pressing "Enter" could initiate the process, but it seems a mouse click is necessary. Unfortunately, I don't have facial recognition or fingerprint options enabled.
I appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you very much!
