Input devices stop responding on Windows 11 PC
Because USB storage and Bluetooth input fail together, the symptoms do not identify one faulty peripheral. Keep USB selective suspend enabled; Microsoft recommends not disabling it. Disconnect hubs, connect only a wired keyboard and mouse directly, turn Bluetooth off, and test. Then disconnect USB accessories and test one re-paired Bluetooth device. This shows whether failure follows USB, Bluetooth, or the PC. Install all Windows updates and offered optional driver updates, then the latest chipset, USB, and Bluetooth drivers for your PC model from its manufacturer. Run the Windows Bluetooth troubleshooter and remove and add the affected device again. If the issue remains, perform a clean boot and try to reproduce it. If it disappears, re-enable startup items in groups. If both transports still fail during a clean boot, record the exact time and affected devices and contact the PC manufacturer. Restarting or reconnecting alone cannot establish the root cause.
