Hi AAbner, that usually means the taskbar shell has not refreshed the app state immediately after the process ends. Since the icon disappears on hover, it is likely a visual refresh issue rather than the app still running. Restart Windows Explorer from Task Manager and check whether it improves. Also update graphics drivers and Windows, because taskbar rendering issues are often shell or display-driver related. If it happens only with one app, that app may leave a tray or background process behind.
