iCloud sync solution for 32-bit Outlook (incorrect password, default profile error, iCloud repair)
I was sent to this forum thread today by Apple second level support because they couldn't help me with the problem.
Unfortunately, I have the same issue: when trying to start iCloud sync, iCloud claims “username and password are incorrect”.
Tried everything with Apple Support. Icloud completely uninstalled, reinstalled. Even set up a new Windwos user with a new Office 365 installation. Always with the same result. When I try to install an old iCloud version, I get the error message that an installation from the MS Store is already running on the computer. (after completely uninstalling the iCloud 15 version, of course). In other words, no older iCloud version can be installed on my Windows 11 computer either. A complete disaster!
What I have noticed is that the new iCloud version 15 can be installed. However, no iCloud add-in can be found in Outlook itself. It looks like Outlook doesn't allow the iCloud add-in to be installed at all.
If anyone has a current workaround on how to get this working, I would be incredibly grateful!
(I've struggled with these synchronization problems so many times, if someone paid me for my working hours, I could retire tomorrow...)

It sounds like your installation may be working in general, but then doesn't finish with the outlook add-in. You can manually add the add-in by following steps 15-onward in solution A. Or, if the aplzod6432.dll file isn't present to add, by following the steps in solution B.
I understand there are a lot of steps and the solutions are a bit tech-y, but they should do the trick if iCloud is working but the add-in isn't present. A system admin or a Geek Squad / Staples tech should be able to take care of it if you're not super tech-oriented. I wish it were easier, but that's not up to me.

Perhaps the most satisfying development is having Apple send someone here (thanks for sharing that), and that's a scant reward for all the time it has taken.

Many thanks for the kind offer of help, but I'm giving up. It seems that I am simply not technically skilled enough to solve this problem myself. And I simply don't have the time to delve so deeply into it and end up failing again. I have to look for another solution. In case a Microsoft supporter wants to access my computer remotely to take care of the problem: Anytime, just contact me out there!
