I don't want to update the Windows 11 system version.

The system frequently prompts for updates, and the pause option is grayed out and cannot be clicked. I heard that the new version will lose hard drive data, so I don't dare to upgrade it casually. Is there a reliable way to permanently disable updates?

You can use the Group Policy Editor or Service Manager to disable the Windows Update service, but note that this will prevent your system from receiving security updates.
