I don't want to update the Windows 11 system version.

The system frequently prompts for updates, and the pause option is grayed out and cannot be clicked. I heard that the new version will lose hard drive data, so I don't dare to upgrade it casually. Is there a reliable way to permanently disable updates?

Try right-clicking the taskbar and selecting Task Manager, locate the Windows Explorer process, right-click it, and choose Restart" to quickly resolve the issue.

The most effective method is to open the "Services" window, set the startup type of the "Windows Update" service to "Disabled," and then stop the service.
