How to transfer iPhone photos to external hard drive with Windows 11?
Transferring photos from your iPhone to an external hard drive using Windows 11 can be accomplished in a few steps. You don't necessarily need special software, as Windows 11 has built-in features that can facilitate this process. Step-by-Step guide to transfer iPhone photos to external hard drive:
Step 1: Connect your device
- Connect your iPhone to your PC using a USB cable. Make sure your iPhone is unlocked.
- Connect the external hard drive to your Windows 11 computer as well.
Step 2: Enable access to iPhone
- When you connect your iPhone, you may get a prompt asking if you trust this computer. Click Trust on your iPhone and enter your password when prompted.
- Windows should automatically recognize your iPhone as a device.
Step 3: Import photos
- Open File Explorer on your Windows 11 computer (you can use the shortcut Windows + E).
- In the left sidebar, find and click "This PC."
- You should see your iPhone listed as a device. It might read "Apple iPhone."
- Open the iPhone folder and navigate to Internal Storage > DCIM. Here you will find several folders containing your photos.
Step 4: Copy photos to external hard drive
- Select the photos or folders you want to copy. You can select all photos by pressing Ctrl + A.
