How to Setting Up a New Laptop with Windows 11 Pro?

I just ordered a Dell laptop with Windows 11 Pro already installed, and am expecting it in a few days.  I have been running Windows 10, and was resisting Windows 11, so I haven’t necessarily read all the Windows 11 posts, feeling like they didn’t apply. But my Windows 7 laptop is on its last legs, and I wanted a new up-to-date machine.

I have some questions regarding initial setup.  I haven’t set up a new computer since early 2018, and a lot has changed.
