How to handle the unresponsive taskbar on Windows 11

Where I cannot click or interact with icons, and it doesn't respond to any commands. The problem persists even after restarting my computer, and I'm looking for effective ways to troubleshoot and resolve this unresponsive taskbar to restore normal functionality.

    Your Windows 11 taskbar remains unresponsive after a restart, so the likely areas to test are the Explorer shell, damaged Windows components, and a background software conflict. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager, find Windows Explorer under Processes, and select Restart. If the taskbar remains stuck, press Windows + I, open Windows Update, install available updates, and restart. Next, use Task Manager’s Run new task option to open Command Prompt with administrative privileges. Run DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth, wait for completion, then run sfc /scannow. Record both results. If neither repairs the taskbar, perform a clean boot: in System Configuration, hide all Microsoft services and disable the remaining services; disable startup apps in Task Manager and restart.
