If you're having trouble booting Windows 11 using Rufus USB drive, this is an alternative method and steps you can take using tools like the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool.
1.Create the Bootable USB Drive:
- Plug the USB drive into your computer (at least 8 GB).
- Run the media creation tool and accept the license terms.
- Select Create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file) and click Next.
- Select your preferred language, version, and architecture (64-bit).
- Select the USB flash drive as the media to use and click Next.
2. Boot from the USB Drive:
- Restart the computer.
- During the boot process press the necessary key to enter the boot menu (usually F2, F10, F12, or Esc).
- Select your USB drive and press Enter to boot from it.
Troubleshooting Boot Issues
- Secure Boot: If you have problems booting from USB, make sure Secure Boot is disabled in the BIOS settings.
- Fast Boot: Disable fast boot in BIOS/UEFI settings as this sometimes prevents USB devices from being recognized at boot.
- File system format: Make sure the USB drive is formatted as FAT32 or NTFS for better compatibility.
- Check USB ports: If one USB port isn't working, try another port, preferably a USB 2.0 port if your computer has one.
