How do Windows users use any operating system?

I am trying to understand how Windows users interact with other operating systems, whether they switch between Windows and macOS or Linux, and what tools or workflows help them manage daily tasks across different platforms. Could you share your experiences with dual-booting, virtual machines, or using cloud services to bridge the gap, and what challenges you have faced when moving files, settings, or habits from Windows to another OS?

    Hi, in practice most people keep Windows as the “daily driver” and use Linux/macOS only where it fits best. For cross-platform work, OneDrive/SharePoint, browser-based apps, Remote Desktop, WSL, and virtual machines usually make life easier than dual booting. Dual boot is fine for testing, but it gets annoying fast when files, app settings, and boot loaders need care.
