How Did My Computer Forget My Wi-Fi Network?
My computer suddenly forgot my usual Wi-Fi network, and now I can't connect automatically even though it worked perfectly before. I've tried restarting the computer and router, but the network either disappears from the available list or asks me to enter the password again, so I'm wondering what caused this and how to prevent it from happening again.

This usually happens because of a Wi-Fi driver issue, a Windows update, a corrupted saved network profile, or a router setting change.
Try these fixes in order
Forget and reconnect: Go to Settings → Network & internet → Wi-Fi → Manage known networks, select your network, choose Forget, then reconnect and enter your password.
Check whether the network appears: If it doesn't, restart the Wi-Fi adapter under Settings → Network & internet → Advanced network settings.
Update the Wi-Fi driver: Open Device Manager → Network adapters → right-click your Wi-Fi adapter → Update driver.
Check the router: Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled and the network name (SSID) hasn't changed.
Prevent recurrence: Install reliable Windows and Wi-Fi driver updates.
Important: If other devices can see your Wi-Fi but your computer cannot, the issue is more likely with your computer's adapter or settings.
