How can I upgrade to Windows 11 on AMD cpu from Windows 10?
The AMD Athlon 200GE is officially unsupported for Windows 11 because it is based on the older "Zen" architecture (Raven Ridge).
However, since your PC was built in 2018, it is likely that your hardware does support the security features (TPM 2.0) but they are simply disabled in your BIOS.
You can try to upgrade to Windows 11 by enabling these settings and using a small "bypass".
Step 1: Enable TPM 2.0, and Secure Boot
The Athlon 200GE has a built-in firmware TPM (called fTPM). To enable it:
-Enter BIOS:Restart your PC and repeatedly press the Del or F2 key.
-Find fTPM:Look for a tab called Advanced, Security, or Computing. Look for AMD fTPM configuration and set it to Enabled or Firmware TPM.
-Enable Secure Boot:Look for the Boot tab, find Secure Boot, and ensure it is Enabled.
-Save and Exit:Press F10 to save.
Step 2: Use the "Rufus" Method
Since your CPU is not on the official list, the standard Windows Update will block you. You can try the easiest and most reliable way to bypass this is using a free tool called Rufus.
Download the Windows 11 ISO: Go to the office microscoft download page and download the "Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO)".
Download Rufus: Get the latest version from its website.
Prepare a USB Drive: Plug in a USB drive (at least 8GB).
Configure Rufus:
-Select your USB drive under Device.
-Select the Windows 11 ISO you just downloaded under Boot selection.
-Click START. A popup will appear with "Windows User Experience" options.
-Check the box: "Remove requirement for 4GB+ RAM, Secure Boot and TPM 2.0".
- Check the box: "Remove requirement for an online Microsoft account" (optional).
Run the Upgrade:
-Once the USB is ready, do not restart your computer.
-Open the USB drive in File Explorer while still in Windows 10 and double-click setup.exe.
-Follow the prompts. It will now ignore the fact that your CPU isn't officially supported.
