How can I reset my PC without having Windows 11 Pro configure Explorer to place the docs folder as a

OneDrive is causing a roadblock in my attempt to configure my Documents library on an external hard drive. Despite receiving assistance from tech support to make documents automatically download to the external drive, Windows simply created a duplicate folder with the same name as the User folder on the C drive. This is problematic because certain programs are programmed to save data to the Documents folder, which unfortunately ends up in the restricted Documents library within the OneDrive folder, unable to be moved.

Years ago, I registered for OneDrive but never used it. Recently, I read that deleting folders in OneDrive would remove it from Explorer. Attempting this, however, did not solve the issue. Despite deleting OneDrive from my computer, the file persists and obstructs relocating the Documents library.

My concern is heightened with Windows 11, as it appears mandatory to sign in to a Microsoft account or create a new one during installation. I worry that even after going through these steps, Windows 11 might automatically re-establish OneDrive, whether I want to use it or not. Is my apprehension warranted?
